Be like a Candle

Be Like a candle…
Light up faces with a smileAnd spread warmth when you walk,Speak purity all the whileAnd beauty when you talk
He told me be like a Candle,
The flip side of a sandal orflip flops when it hits the dustKnowledge merely a particleas we promote trust
And expect nothing in return,Each day passes we earn and learnDon’t count your blessings..Store them..
Be like a candle,
selfless like an anti-consumerist society,Shelf-lessDon’t be restless, patience, control your mindHasten.Rather than chasing 360 and get called dizzee
Be like a candle,
Noor in the darkness,Sense amongst the senseless,Like the only ethnic in the censusDirection for the headless
We’re Chickens on the coup,Fear, as we wait for the military cooDon’t be scaredThrow your shoe at a dictator. Mubarak
Give like a candle gives light,Live the way your soul deserves to liveBe a freedom writer, free-writer, free runner
Keep your candle alight, don’t survive,Fight from an unjust night to a blessed dawn
Be like a candle,
Some Inherit worldly riches but still remain impoverishedWashed away, quashed and lost
As Human kind compete to becomeSomethingBut Rich lists don’t recognize the price compared to human life isNothing
But eventually
Our light and warmth will turn to smoke andAscend to judgementFrom tar filled smog to a beautiful incenseAll depending on the intent
Until that unexpected, unknown end,Simply, Be Like a Candle.

Music Industry Structure

Days Rithmik Is Open

Drop In

When: Monday

Time: 5-9pm

Who: Everyone aged 13-19 (25 with learning difficulties) All levels of experience

What: Intro to music production, hour long studio recording sessions, group vocal workshops, one to one vocal workshops, DJ lessons, poetry group

Foundation in Music Production

When: Thursday

Time: 5-8pm

Who: People who have come on a Monday session and now want to develop their production skills

What: Basic music production using Logic, including making drum patterns, recording MIDI and arranging a song

Music Production Academy

When: Tuesday

Time: 5-9pm

Who: People who have completed the foundation course

What: Advanced music production including sampling, mixing, studio engineering and more. Working towards a bronze arts award
